10 Reasons To Add Strength Training To Your Life

This piece is borrowed from my Friend Laura Keefe's Blog

#1: HEALTHY BONES THROUGH EXERCISE
STRONGER BONES LEAD TO A STRONGER MUSCULOSKELETAL SYSTEM-THAT MEANS YOU CAN LIFT, MOVE AND ENJOY RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES WITH MORE EASE.

#2: GREAT POSTURE THROUGH MUSCLE CONDITIONING
Conditioned muscles help you lift and hold your body upright better. As a result, you appear taller, more confident and vibrant.

#3: FEWER INJURIES AS MUSCLES ARE STRONGER
When muscles are stronger, so are the connective tissues surrounding them. This means the entire muscular system is bolstered, providing protection against injuries caused by weak ligaments, tendons and muscle fibers.

#4: EXERCISE CAN RAISE YOUR METABOLISM
There’s no better way to increase your metabolism than to develop more muscle mass. Muscle burns a great deal of calories to keep itself alive-even at rest.

#5: WEIGHT TRAINING LEADS TO BETTER SPORTS PERFORMANCE
If you want to improve in your sport or activity of choice, start weight training. It’s no secret: Many top-notch athletes use resistance training to enhance their skills. Get your golf score up, increase your running speed or enjoy an easier time dancing. All compliments of strength training.

#6: FASTER REHAB WITH STRONG MUSCLES
If you suffer an injury and keep the other muscles strong, you’ll bounce back quicker.

#7: IMPROVED BALANCE
Regular strength training leads to better muscle control and balance. As a result, you’re less likely to fall. If you do fall, though, your injury will be less severe.

#8: STRENGTH TRAINING PREVENTS OBESITY
When you build muscle, you burn more calories. The calories you burn come from fat. Hence, strength training prevents obesity. And when you keep your body fat down you add years to your life.

#9: BEING STRONG CAN MAKE LIFE MORE FUN
Your quality of life is enhanced when you’re strong. Whether it’s walking around for two days at Disneyland or rock climbing, you can get out there and enjoy all that life has to offer.

#10: GOOD EXERCISE PREVENTS A NUMBER OF AILMENTS ASSOCIATED WITH AGING
Many of the conditions we link to old age are really a result of not exercising and eating healthily. By combining an exercise program of aerobic conditioning with strength training you can grow old gracefully!

Collection Of Original Agility Ladder Videos

The following is a collection of the Ladder Agility Progressions I have filmed in the past few months.

Key Points while performing agility work in the ladder are to keep your arms moving. Free arms will equal quick feet. Also you want to work on staying on your toes and mimimizing the time your feet are on the ground.

Wishing on 11:11

Evening Chillun
At this exact time the clock on my laptop reads 11:11pm and I'm making sure to wish in a calculated fashion.
See every wish I've ever made at 11:11 (of either am or pm varieties) comes true!
Now this could be because I make wishes I can make sure come true.
OR
It's because I make my wishes come true!
They're different statements! Always aim high and NEVER take no for an answer. Make the finish line far and don't consider stopping until you're well crossed it!

I'm spending the night listening to the talented and beautiful Amelia Curran and I'm finding my mind to be clear and calm. I highly suggest everyone do the same and find the same as well.

More word on Monday morning of how my latest 11:11 wish (more like prayer) pans out for me.

Until then!

Long time no blog!

Hey guys and Happy Thanksgiving!!
It's been awhile since I've last blogged.
Alot has happened since we last spoke though. My youtube videos have been more popular than ever and my next videos promise to be even greater. I hope to have a new video up by the end of the week. Look for it!

Kaleigh is contemplating competing in a fitness competition that our good friend Terry Keys is promoting next year and she may even let me train her for it!! Giddy up!
Also as some of you may know I have had extremely crooked teeth my entire life and in the past 7 months have began getting them straightened with braces. These last couple months have really yielded great results on that front. My mouth almost looks human which is super awesome and extremely motivating to say the least.
Also I've put more focus on getting proper sleep each and every night so with that in mind I must be hitting the hay!!
Talk soon!
